My kid was having trouble understanding multiplication by fractions, which is, admittedly, kind of confusing. I kept wanting to make a simple area model and it occurred to me a computer should have such a tool.

When a quick google search failed to get me a tool I liked, I built this one for my daughter and shared it with her teacher for other students to use.

The goal is to have a very simple visualization of how multiplication works. It took an afternoon to build in Svelte and came out pretty slick.
